Kidney bean casserole

Ingredients

| ½ | cup | Chopped onion; or more |
| 1 | pounds | Ground beef |
| 1 | teaspoon | Salt |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Pepper |
| 1 | can | (6-oz) tomato paste |
| 2 | cans | (15-oz) kidney beans; drained |
| 1 | cup | Grated cheddar cheese; or more |
| Paprika | ||
Directions
Saute onions & beef until browned. Stir in salt, pepper & tomato paste.
Spoon half this mixture into a 1-½ quart casserole. Top with half the kidney beans, then half the cheese. Repeat layers in same order with remaining meat, beans & cheese. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 350 uncovered for 35-40 minutes or until top browns. Yields 6-8 servings.
