Kidney bean casserole

Yield: 6 Servings

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Chopped onion; or more
1 pounds Ground beef
1 teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
1 can (6-oz) tomato paste
2 cans (15-oz) kidney beans; drained
1 cup Grated cheddar cheese; or more

Saute onions & beef until browned. Stir in salt, pepper & tomato paste.

Spoon half this mixture into a 1-½ quart casserole. Top with half the kidney beans, then half the cheese. Repeat layers in same order with remaining meat, beans & cheese. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 350 uncovered for 35-40 minutes or until top browns. Yields 6-8 servings.
