Jiggly orange wedges
12 servings
Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient | |
---|---|---|
2 | Navel oranges | |
1¼ | cup | Strained fresh orange juice |
1½ | teaspoon | Unflavored gelatin |
Directions
Cut the oranges in half lengthwise and remove all of the pulp. (It can be reserved for another use, if desired.) In a small saucepan combine ¼ cup of the juice and the gelatin and let the mixture stand for 5 minutes. Cook the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly, for 3 to 4 minutes or until all the gelatin granules are completely dissolved. Whisk the gelatin mixture into the remaining orange juice. Pour the mixture into the hollowed shells and chill them, covered, for 4 hours or until the mixture is jelled.
Cut each half into 3 wedges. This recipe yields 12 wedges.
