Jiffy ginger cake

Yield: 8 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Brown sugar
1 cup Water
1 cup Sultanas (golden raisins)
5 ounces Butter
1 tablespoon Golden syrup (karo)
1 teaspoon Ground ginger
2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Mixed spice
2 teaspoons Baking soda
1 hr. at 170 degs C.

Pour into a large bowl and cool well. Sift in the flour and baking soda. Spoon into greased loaf tin. Bake 45 mins. to REC.FOOD.RECIPES ARCHIVES
