Jalapeno margaritas

Measure Ingredient
4 Jalapeno peppers, halved lengthways
16 ounces (fl) tequila
1 ounce (fl) Triple Sec liqueur
3 ounces (fl) bottled/fresh lime juice
Coarse salt to garnish (optional)

Put the peppers into the bottle of tequila and allow to steep for at least three days. For 4 margaritas, pour 150ml (¼ pint) of jalapeno tequila, 30ml (1 fl oz) of Triple Sec and 90ml (3 fl oz) of lime juice into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Stir and strain into glasses over fresh ice cubes.

If desired, first dip the rims of the glasses into lime juice and then into salt.
