Hearty pancakes

Measure Ingredient
2 cups Whole-wheat flour -- * see

2½ teaspoon Baking powder
2¼ cup Water
1 teaspoon Pumpkin pie spice --
\N \N Optional

Mix dry ingredients together. Add water and mix well. Ladle onto a hot non-stick griddle, turning once when bubbles form on top and edges are beginning to dry.

HELPFUL HINTS: Change spices used to vary the taste of the pancakes. Try some Italian Herb Seasoning for use as a dinner pancake with a vegetable sauce. For other meals, these are very good with apple sauce and sprinkled with cinnamon.
