3 | cans | Green beans; drained |
½ | cup | Sugar |
½ | cup | Vinegar |
1 | Onion; sliced | |
5 | Sliced bacon; fried, crumbled, reserve drippings |
Directions
Combine sugar, vinegar and bacon drippings in saucepan. Heat until sugar is dissolved. Layer beans and onions in a casserole dish. Pour vinegar-sugar mixture over beans. Heat, covered, at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Sprinkle with bacon and serve.
