Grandmas's drop sugar cookies

Yield: 1 Serving

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Shortening
2 \N Eggs, beaten
2 teaspoons Nutmeg
3 cups Flour
1½ teaspoon Soda (baking)
1½ cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1 cup Sour milk
½ cup (sugar and 1 tea. nutmeg
\N \N Mixed togetrher for tops)

Preheat oven 375 F. Cream shortening and sugar. Add beaten eggs. Sift dry ingredients and mix in alternately with the milk to which the baking soda has been added. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet and sprinkle with sugar and nutmeg topping. Bake in 375 F oven for 8 - 10 min
