2 eaches | Egg yolks |
½ teaspoon | Vanilla |
⅔ cup | Chopped pecans |
⅔ cup | Evaporated milk |
⅓ cup | Crisco shortening |
1⅓ cup | Flaked coconut (3 1/2 oz.) |
Combine sugar, milk, egg yolks, Crisco and vanilla. Cook and stir over medium heat about 12 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil.
Remove from heat, add coconut and pecans. Beat until frosting is thick. Cool 15 minutes.
Makes only enough to spread on top of layers.
