| 1 | can | Diced tomatoes (14oz.) |
| 1 | can | Tomato sauce (15oz.) |
| 1 | can | Tomato paste (12oz.) |
| 1 | pack | Spaghetti sauce mix ** |
| 1¾ | cup | Water (1 sauce can full) |
| ½ | tablespoon | Sugar |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Oregano |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Basil |
| 1 | Garlic clove, crushed | |
| 1 | Bay leaf, small | |
| 16 | ounces | Spaghetti |
Directions
* Cut into ¾" pieces ** Italian-style with mushrooms Cook Italian sausage over medium-high heat until nicely browned.
Remove sausage from pot, leaving drippings. Cook onions in hot drippings for three minutes; add ground beef. Cook and stir ground beef and onion until meat is brown and onion is tender. Return sausage to pot; drain grease from meat mixture. Stir in remaining ingredients, except spaghetti. Cover; Simmer 1½ hours, stirring occasionally.
Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Serve meat sauce over hot spaghetti; top with parmesan cheese, if desired.
