Gardener guy's mom's buttermilk cornbread

Yield: 8 servings

Measure Ingredient
⅔ cup Flour
⅔ cup Yellow cornmeal
⅔ cup White cornmeal
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Baking soda
2 teaspoons Sugar
2 Eggs; slightly beaten
2 cups Buttermilk
3 tablespoons Melted butter
2 teaspoons Vegetable oil; for iron skillet

Mix dry ingredients. Add eggs, buttermilk, and butter. Mix well. Heat oil in cast-iron skillet. Pour batter into hot skillet and bake at 400 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serves 8.
