Frosted applesauce

| 1½ | cup | Hot applesauce |
| ¾ | cup | Pineapple juice |
| ¼ | cup | Sugar |
| 1 | tablespoon | L;emon juice |
| ⅛ | teaspoon | Salt |
| ⅛ | teaspoon | Nutmeg |
| ⅛ | teaspoon | Cinnamon |
| 1 | Egg white; stiffly beaten | |
| ½ | Crushed pineapple; drained | |
Directions
Dissolve gelatin in hot applesauce. Add pineapple juice, sugar,lemon juice, salt,and spices. Fold in egg white and pineapple. Spoon into sherbet dishes and refrigerate until set. Makes 8 servings. Thie recipe came from an older lady in Portland, Oregon in 1955, hence the vernacular.
