1pack(3 oz.) lemon flavor gelatin
cupHot applesauce
¾cupPineapple juice
¼cupSugar
1tablespoonL;emon juice
teaspoonSalt
teaspoonNutmeg
teaspoonCinnamon
1Egg white; stiffly beaten
½Crushed pineapple; drained

Directions

Dissolve gelatin in hot applesauce. Add pineapple juice, sugar,lemon juice, salt,and spices. Fold in egg white and pineapple. Spoon into sherbet dishes and refrigerate until set. Makes 8 servings. Thie recipe came from an older lady in Portland, Oregon in 1955, hence the vernacular.
