FROSTING
(From Marion Brown's _Southern Cook Book_, recipe by Mrs. R. W. Bost from Chapel Hill, NC) (This tastes just like the Spanish Bar Cake that A&P sold years and years ago!!) (It also makes a wonderful gift during the holidays)
Put butter, sugars and raisins into hot applesauce. When cool, add spices, salt, flour, and soda. Mix; then add chopped nuts. Turn into greased loaf pan or 9" X 9" cake pan and bake one hour at 350 degrees. Cover with frosting.
Frosting: Mix together and spread on while cake is warm.
