8 ounces | Monterey jack cheese with peppers; cut in 1\" cubes |
24 smalls | Won-ton wrappers |
\N \N | Vegetable cooking spray |
\N \N | Vegetable oil |
\N \N | Guacamole Dip; Optional |
Place 1 cheese cube in center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten edges of wrapper with water. Fold corners of wrapper to center, enclosing filing and overlapping edges slightly.
Place on sheets of wax paper sprayed with cooking spray; cover with additional wax paper to prevent drying out.
Pour oil to depth of 3 inches into a Dutch oven; heat to 350F. Fry wontons, 3-4 at a time, until golden brown on each side, turning once. Drain on paper towels. Serve immediately with Guacamole Dip, if desired.
