Fried mealed catfish

Yield: 4 Servings

Measure Ingredient
2 cups Shortening (up to 3)
1 cup Cornmeal
½ cup Flour
2 teaspoons Salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
½ teaspoon Garlic salt
½ teaspoon Onion salt
1 pounds Boneless catfish

Heat shortening in deep fryer or deep saucepan. Combine cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, garlic salt and onion salt in paper or plastic bag. Put 3 or 4 pieces of fish in bag. Shake until well coated. Fry fish in hot shortening until brown and tender. Makes 4-6 servings.
