1 can | (small) evaporated milk |
½ pint | Whipping cream; not whipped |
1 quart | Homogenized milk |
1 can | (flat can) crushed pineapple; undrained |
2 larges | Bananas; crushed in blender |
2 | Oranges; juice of |
2 | Lemons; juice of |
1 | Lemon rind; grated (optional) |
Mix sugar, salt, milk, evaporated milk and cream in a one gallon container of ice cream maker. Freeze according to maker's direction to the soft stage. Remove top; add crushed fruits and fruit juices; add grated rind, if desired. Finish freezing until firm. Remove the dasher and pack container; drain off water and repack with ice. Let stand until frozen hard. Note: If needed, homogenized milk can be added to finish filling container to the bottom of the top blade of the dasher.
