Fig pickles

Yield: 1 Batch

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Water
Pickling spice to include
Cloves and cinnamon (whole)
6 cups Sugar
1 cup Vinegar

COVER 3 quarts figs with 2 quarts boiling water and allow to stand 5 minutes. Make syrup out of above ingredents (spices should be in a bag made of cheesecloth. Drain figs. Boil in syrup 3 consecutive days 10 minutes each day, then pack into jars to within ¼ inch of top.

Put on cap, screw band firmly tight. Process in boiling water bath 10 minutes.
