Simple pickles

Ingredients

| 5 | pounds | Cucumbers |
| 3¾ | cup | Vinegar |
| 3 | cups | Sugar |
| 3 | tablespoons | Pickling salt |
| 4½ | teaspoon | Celery seed |
| 4½ | teaspoon | Turmeric |
| 1 | teaspoon | Dry mustard |
Directions
Wash cucumbers & cut in strips or slices. Pour boiling water over cucumbers & let stand overnight. The next day, drain off water & rinse & pack cucumbers in clean jars. In a large pan, combine remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil & cook 5 minutes. Pour over cucumbers in jars & seal.
