Cherry pickles

| 8 | cups | Cherries, with stems |
| 2¼ | cup | White vinegar |
| 2¼ | cup | Water |
| 6 | tablespoons | White sugar |
| 3 | tablespoons | Coarse pickling salt |
Directions
Pack cherries into hot sterilized jars. Combine the remaining ingredients, bring to boil and boil for 4 minutes. Pour syrup over cherries and seal. Allow to stand for at least 2 weeks before serving. Makes 4 pints.
