Cherry pickles

Ingredients

8cupsCherries, with stems
cupWhite vinegar
cupWater
6tablespoonsWhite sugar
3tablespoonsCoarse pickling salt

Directions

Pack cherries into hot sterilized jars. Combine the remaining ingredients, bring to boil and boil for 4 minutes. Pour syrup over cherries and seal. Allow to stand for at least 2 weeks before serving. Makes 4 pints.
