Yield: 2 quarts

½ cup | Finely chopped garlic cloves |
½ cup | Finely chopped onion |
2 tablespoons | Salt |
⅓ cup | Sugar |
1 teaspoon | Prepared mustard |
1 teaspoon | White pepper |
1 quart | Salad oil |
3 cups | White vinegar |
Beat ingredients except oil and vinegar to a thick paste, approximately 10 minutes. Add 1 cup oil until mixture emulsifies.
Add oil and vinegar alternately, beating vigorously.
Makes 2 quarts.
