Egg and butter bread

Ingredients

| 2 | packs | Dry yeast |
| ½ | cup | Warm water |
| 1½ | cup | Scalded milk |
| ½ | cup | Sugar |
| ½ | cup | Butter or margarine |
| 1 | tablespoon | Salt |
| 3 | Eggs; slightly beaten | |
| 7½ | cup | Sifted flour |
| 1 | Egg yolk | |
| Sesame seeds | ||
Directions
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Combine all remaining ingredients except flour, egg yolk and sesame seeds. Mix wel, add yeast. Stir in 3 cups flour. Add remaining flour a little at a time; knead until smooth. Place in a greased bowl and let rise until double in bulk.
Punch down and let rest 30 minutes. Divide into 9 strips; braid into 3 loaves. Let rise 1 hour. Beat egg yolk and 2 tablespoons water together; brush carefully over bread. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 425 degrees.
