2 cups | Cider vinegar |
2 teaspoons | Red pepper flakes |
2 teaspoons | Caraway seeds |
24 eaches | Black peppercorns |
2 teaspoons | Salt |
4 tablespoons | Dill fresh and snipped fine |
Place drained onions in to 2 each 1-qt jars. Combine the vinegar, sugar, herbs, salt, & spices in a sauce pan. Brinmg to aboil then pour over the onions. Seal jar tightly, cool to romm temparature.
Refrigerate for 2-4 weeks then you may open them to be served. Very good with vodka, beer, or as a compliment for a salad. Origin: Olena Meshenkova, L'viv-Ukraine, circa 1995
