Diabetic apple crunch

Ingredients

| 2 | slices | Dry bread; |
| 1 | tablespoon | Diet margarine; |
| ½ | teaspoon | Cinnamon; |
| ½ | teaspoon | Allspice; |
| 3 | cups | Apples; Cored sliced |
| 1 | tablespoon | Lemon juice; |
| ¾ | cup | Dietetic maple syrup |
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Make crumbs from bread and toast in oven. Mix toasted crumbs with margarine, cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon allspice. Mix apples with lemon juice, maple syrup, and remainder of allspice; spread in a well-greased shallow baking dish ( approximately 8" round). Cover with crumb mixture; bake 45 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm.
