|1 cup||Chopped nuts|
|1 cup||Chopped dates|
|½ cup||Cookie crumbs, any kind|
Beat egg whites until light but not stiff. Fold in sugar. Continue beating until smooth. Add flavoring and salt. Fold in nuts and dates. Pour into well-oiled spring pan, lined with cookie crumbs.
Bake in slow oven (350 F) until firm. 8 servings. The Household Searchlight
