Butter torte

Yield: 3 servings

Measure Ingredient
2 cups Vanilla wafer crumbs
1 cup Butter
2 cups Powdered sugar, sifted
4 \N Eggs
½ cup Chopped pecans
1 pack Dream Whip
½ cup Maraschino cherries

Spread 1 cup of crumbs in a 9 x 12 inch pan. Cream butter, add powdered sugar gradually. Continue beating until light and fluffy.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Stir nuts into mixture and spread on crumbs in the pan. Sprinkle ¾ of the crumbs over that layer. Beat Dream Whip and fold in fruit and spread over layer.

Sprinkle remaining crumbs and garnish with fruit. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving. Randy Rigg Submitted By RANDY RIGG On 02-24-95
