Butter torte

Ingredients

| 2 | cups | Vanilla wafer crumbs |
| 1 | cup | Butter |
| 2 | cups | Powdered sugar, sifted |
| 4 | Eggs | |
| ½ | cup | Chopped pecans |
| 1 | pack | Dream Whip |
| ½ | cup | Maraschino cherries |
Directions
Spread 1 cup of crumbs in a 9 x 12 inch pan. Cream butter, add powdered sugar gradually. Continue beating until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Stir nuts into mixture and spread on crumbs in the pan. Sprinkle ¾ of the crumbs over that layer. Beat Dream Whip and fold in fruit and spread over layer.
