|1½ cup||Skim milk|
|1 teaspoon||Almond extract|
|4 larges||Eggs or 1 cup egg substitute, light|
|2 cups||Crushed whole grain wheat flake cer|
|16 slices||White bread|
|1 \N||Cooking spray|
|1 cup||Maple syrup|
Preheat oven to 425. Combine first 4 ingredients in a shallow bowl; stir with a whisk until well blended. Place crushed cereal in a shallow dish.. Quickly dip both sides of each bread slice in milk mixture; dredge in cereal.
Place bread slices on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Bake at 425 for 5 minutes. Turn bread slices over; bake an additional 5 minutes or until golden. Serve warm with syrup.
