Crunchy oven french toast

Ingredients

| 2 | tablespoons | Honey |
| 1 | teaspoon | Almond extract |
| 4 | larges | Eggs or 1 cup egg substitute, light |
| 2 | cups | Crushed whole grain wheat flake cer |
| 16 | slices | White bread |
| 1 | Cooking spray | |
| 1 | cup | Maple syrup |
Directions
Preheat oven to 425. Combine first 4 ingredients in a shallow bowl; stir with a whisk until well blended. Place crushed cereal in a shallow dish.. Quickly dip both sides of each bread slice in milk mixture; dredge in cereal.
Place bread slices on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Bake at 425 for 5 minutes. Turn bread slices over; bake an additional 5 minutes or until golden. Serve warm with syrup.
