Crunchy oven french toast

Yield: 8 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1½ cup Skim milk
2 tablespoons Honey
1 teaspoon Almond extract
4 larges Eggs or 1 cup egg substitute, light
2 cups Crushed whole grain wheat flake cer
16 slices White bread
1 \N Cooking spray
1 cup Maple syrup

Preheat oven to 425. Combine first 4 ingredients in a shallow bowl; stir with a whisk until well blended. Place crushed cereal in a shallow dish.. Quickly dip both sides of each bread slice in milk mixture; dredge in cereal.

Place bread slices on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Bake at 425 for 5 minutes. Turn bread slices over; bake an additional 5 minutes or until golden. Serve warm with syrup.
