Creole chicken

Measure Ingredient
1 each Broiler-fryer chicken -- cut
\N \N Up
1 each Green pepper -- chopped
6 eaches Green onions -- chopped
16 ounces Can tomatoes -- cut up
6 ounces Can tomato paste
¼ pounds Cooked ham - about 3/4 cup
\N \N Cubed
1 teaspoon Salt
\N \N Several drops of bottled hot
\N \N Pepper sauce
½ pounds Smoked or Polish sausage --
\N \N Sliced
3 cups Cooked rice

In slow-cooking pot, combine chicken, pepper, onions, tomatoes, tomato paste, ham, salt and pepper sauce. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours.

Turn control to high. Add sausage and cooked rice. cover and cook on high for 15 to 20 minutes.
