Creamy rice pudding

Ingredients

| Cook over simmering water, | ||
| Stirring contantly, until | ||
| Mixture coats a metal spoon. | ||
| Remove from heat. | ||
| Add | ||
| 1 | tablespoon | Butter or Margarine |
| 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
| ⅓ | cup | Raisin,currants or chopped |

Directions
COMBINE IN TOP OF DOUBLE
BOILER
Pour into serving bowl and allow to stand, without stirring, for 30 minutes Serve warm or chilled, with cream. (I sprinkle cinnamon and/or nutmeg on top.) Taken from an "Old" Purity Flour Cookbook.
