Coffee liqueur (fake kahlua)

Yield: 7 cups

Measure Ingredient
3 cups Vodka
2 cups Water
2 cups Sugar
2 cups Packed brown sugar
⅔ cup Dry instant coffee
1 teaspoon Vanilla -or-
1 Vanilla bean

Mix all ingredients in a 2-quart jar. Cover tightly and let stand at room temperature two weeks. Remove vanilla bean. Pour into bottles and seal. Makes about 7½ cups.
