TOPPING
Before I left I got a new cookbook. It's called 1998 Taste Of Home Annual Recipes. I just love the recipes from there. If anyone has any requests let me know and I'll be happy to post them for you. Here is a recipe for some muffins that sound good.
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar; beat in egg and milk. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg; stir into creamed mixture(batter will be stiff). Fill greased or paper-lined muffins cups two-thirds full.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until muffins test done.
Meanwhile, melt butter and combine sugar and cinnamon. Remove muffins from oven; immediately dip tops in butter, then cinnamon-sugar.
Yield about 1 dozen.
