Measure Ingredient
1 cup Cornmeal; (white, yellow, whatever)
1 teaspoon Baking powder
½ teaspoon Baking soda
2 tablespoons Margarine; butter or bacon fat, (in increasing order of preference) until it is crumb-like
⅓ cup Water or milk until it is at a dropping consistency; up to 1/2, up to
