1 teaspoon | Baking soda |

1½ cup | Milk |
½ cup | Sugar |
1 teaspoon | Vanilla extract |
1 cup | Coarsely chopped nuts |
½ cup | Raisins |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine over hot (not boiling) water, 1 cup Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels and butter. Stir until morsels are melted and mixture is smooth. Set aside. In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine egg, milk, sugar and vanilla extract; mix well. Add melted morsels; mix until well blended. Gradually stir in flour mixture until dry ingredients are just moistened. Stir in remaining 1 cup Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels, nuts and raisins. Pour into greased 9x5x3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 65-70 minutes. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack. Makes one loaf.
