Chocolate fudge muffins

Yield: 12 muffins

Measure Ingredient
¾ cup Boiling water
1 cup Chocolate chips
¼ cup Butter
2 cups Flour
1 tablespoon Baking powder
½ teaspoon Salt
½ cup Sugar
1 \N Egg, beaten
⅓ cup Shortening, melted
½ cup Milk
½ cup Sour cream
¾ cup Chopped walnuts
½ cup Chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Combine the boiling water, chocolate chips and butter and melt over low heat, stirring constantly. Set aside.

Sifr together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add the egg, shortening, milk, sour cream and melted chocolate mixture. Blend until just moistened. Fold in the walnuts. Fill paper lined muffin tins full with batter, sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips and bake for about 20 minutes.
