Cherry skillet cake

Yield: 1 servings

Measure Ingredient
¼ cup Granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon Almond extract
2 tablespoons Cornstarch
Few drops red food coloring
1 No 2 can pitted red sour
Cherries, packed in water
1 Sponge cake or layer cake
Light cream

In skillet of same size as cake layer, combine first 5 ingredients.

Cook over low heat, stirring, until thickened. Place cake layer, top side up, on cherries; cover; cook 5 min. Invert onto serving plate.

Serve warm, with cream if desired. Makes 6 servings.
