Cheese pimiento biscuits

Measure Ingredient
3 cups Flour; sifted
5 teaspoons Baking powder
1½ teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Cayenne pepper
½ cup Shortening
1 cup Cheddar cheese; grated
¼ cup Pimiento; finely chopped
1 cup Milk; (up to 1-1/2)

Heat oven to 450 degrees. Sift together dry ingredients in large bowl. Cut in shortening. Stir in cheese and pimiento. Add milk gradually to make dough. Roll out to ½-inch thickness.
