Calico bread pudding (wash)

Ingredients

| 4 | slices | White bread OR french bread; preferably homemade |
| 4 | slices | Whole wheat bread |
| ¼ | cup | Soft butter |
| ⅔ | cup | Brown sugar |
| 1 | tablespoon | Cinnamon |
| ¾ | cup | Raisins |
| ¾ | cup | Apple; finely chopped |
| 2½ | cup | Half & half |
| 2½ | cup | Milk |
| 6 | Eggs; slightly beaten | |
| 1 | tablespoon | Vanilla |
| ⅔ | cup | Granulated sugar |
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Toast bread and spread with butter. Top with brown sugar and cinnamon. Trim off crusts, cut into bite-sized pieces. Layer bread cubes, raisin and apples, alternatiinglayers, in aglas 2 quart baking dish.
Combine eggs, granulated suar and vanilla. Sacad milk and half and half.
