Basic bread pudding

Ingredients

2Eggs
2cupsHot milk
½cupBrown sugar
1tablespoonButter
¼cupRaisins
¼teaspoonSalt
2cupsButtered bread, cubed
1teaspoonCinnamon or nutmeg
1teaspoonVanilla

Directions

Beat egg well, add sugar, salt, spice and milk. Beat til very smooth. Add butter, bread cubes raisins and vanilla.

Pour into buttered baking dish; oven poach until firm, about 45 minutes, at 325 F.
