Basic bread pudding

Ingredients

| 2 | cups | Hot milk |
| ½ | cup | Brown sugar |
| 1 | tablespoon | Butter |
| ¼ | cup | Raisins |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
| 2 | cups | Buttered bread, cubed |
| 1 | teaspoon | Cinnamon or nutmeg |
| 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
Directions
Beat egg well, add sugar, salt, spice and milk. Beat til very smooth. Add butter, bread cubes raisins and vanilla.
Pour into buttered baking dish; oven poach until firm, about 45 minutes, at 325 F.
