Broiled parmesan potatoes (oregon)

Ingredients

| 2 | tablespoons | Margarine; or butter, melted |
| 1 | teaspoon | Dried basil; crushed |
| ½ | teaspoon | Paprika |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Garlic powder |
| ⅛ | teaspoon | Pepper |
| 2 | mediums | Potatoes; diagonally sliced to 1/4-inch thick |
| ¼ | cup | Grated parmesan |
| OR romano cheese | ||
Directions
Stir together margarine or butter basil, paprika, garlic powder and pepper.
Place potato slices in a single layer on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Brush margarine mixture over both sides of potato slices. Broil about 5-inches from the heat for 8 to 9 minutes until potatoes begin to brown.
Turn potatoes, using a wide spatula. Sprinkle with cheese. Broil for an additional 4 to 6 minutes until potatoes are tender.
