Bread crumbs and apple pudding

Ingredients

| 3 | cups | Bread crumbs; (Toasted) |
| 3 | tablespoons | Butter melted |
| 3 | Apples large grand smith; Pare, core, and slice thin., (up to 4) | |
| 1½ | tablespoon | Lemon juice and grated rind |
| ¾ | cup | Brown sugar Firmly packed |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Nutmeg |
| ½ | teaspoon | Cinnamon |
| ⅔ | cup | Water - hot |

Mix butter with bread crumbs. Place ⅓ crumbs in greased baking dish.
Arrange ½ of the apples on bread crumbs. Sprinkle half of each , Juice and rind, Nutmeg, cinnamon, and sugar. Repeat, ending with the crumbs. Add the water, and bake in preheated 350 F hot oven for 45 minutes, or until apples are tender.
