Bread crumbs and apple pudding

Yield: 4 -6

Measure Ingredient
3 cups Bread crumbs; (Toasted)
3 tablespoons Butter melted
3 Apples large grand smith; Pare, core, and slice thin., (up to 4)
1½ tablespoon Lemon juice and grated rind
¾ cup Brown sugar Firmly packed
¼ teaspoon Nutmeg
½ teaspoon Cinnamon
⅔ cup Water - hot

Mix butter with bread crumbs. Place ⅓ crumbs in greased baking dish.

Arrange ½ of the apples on bread crumbs. Sprinkle half of each , Juice and rind, Nutmeg, cinnamon, and sugar. Repeat, ending with the crumbs. Add the water, and bake in preheated 350 F hot oven for 45 minutes, or until apples are tender.
