Brot pudding (bread pudding) - with apples

Yield: 7 servings

Measure Ingredient
4 \N OR 5 slices dry bread
2 \N Apples
1 cup Sugar
2 \N Eggs
2 cups Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla
¼ teaspoon Salt

Break the bread in small pieces and layer it with apples. Beat 2 eggs and add sugar,milk, vanilla, and salt. Pour this mixture over apples and bread. Sprinkle top with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 325ø for 1 hour.

Serve hot with wine sauce (see recipe) or cold with cream.
