Blackberry wine^

Measure Ingredient
1 gallon Blackberries
1 quart Boiling water
2 pounds Sugar

Bruise berries, add boiling water. Let stand 24 hours, stirring occasionally. Strain off the liquor and put into a cask. Add sugar; cork tightly and let stand till next October, when it will be ready for use. It may be bottled. Many of the recipes in this collection did not contain amounts or oven temperatures. I have typed them in as they appear in the book, typos and all.
