Beehive peanut butter cookies

½ | cup | Shortening |
½ | cup | Peanut butter |
½ | cup | Honey |
½ | cup | Brown sugar; packed |
1 | Egg | |
1¼ | cup | Flour |
½ | teaspoon | Baking soda |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
In mixing bowl, cream shortening, peanut butter, honey and sugar. Add egg, beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Stir into creamed mixture. Mix well. Cover and chill 1 hour. Using 1 level tablespoon of dough for each cookie, shape into small balls. Place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with a lightly floured fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool 1 minute. Remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
Makes 3½ dozen cookies.
