Basic uncooked buttercreme frosting

| 3 | Egg yolks | |
| ¼ | cup | Powdered sugar |
| 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
| 4 | ounces | Butter softened |
| 4 | ounces | Butter chilled |
Directions
Put first 3 ingredients in electric blender and blend until well mixed. Add softened butter a little at a time to blend. Then blend in the firm butter a little at a time until creamy and thick.
Variations: BEFORE ADDING BUTTER add 1 square melted and cooled unsweetened chocolate or 1 teaspoon instant coffee. or both.
