Barbecued beef buns

Measure Ingredient
4 cups Cooked Beef Strips -- 2 X
2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
1 cup Ketchup
4 teaspoons Prepared Mustard
½ cup Cider Vinegar
1 teaspoon Salt
½ cup Butter Or Regular Margarine
¼ teaspoon Chili Powder
¼ cup Sugar
¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
2 mediums Onions -- Thinly Sliced
½ cup Water
2 slices Lemon
8 Hamburger Buns

Combine all of the ingredients, except the hamburger buns, in a 4-quart Dutch oven. Cook over hig heat until the mixture comes to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 25minutes or until the mixture thickens. Remove the lemon slices. Pour into a container, cover and refrigerate.

TO SERVE:

Warm over medium heat and serve in the hamburger buns.
