Barbecue sauce #17

Measure Ingredient
2 mediums Onions finely chopped
1 \N Clove garlic; finely chopped
¼ cup Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons Chili powder
2 cups Catsup
1 cup Vinegar
½ cup Lemon juice
¼ cup Worstershire sauce
⅓ cup Finely packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons Prepared mustard
1 tablespoon Crushed celery seed
2 teaspoons Crushed cumin seed
2 tablespoons Butter or margarine

Saute onions and garlic in vegetable oil 'til golden and tender (about 10 minutes). Stir in the chili powder, cook one minute. Stir in remaining ingredients (except butter). Bring to boil. Lower heat, simmer uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring often. Stir in butter. Makes about 4½ cups.

Keeps covered in fridge for months.
