Ingredients

2mediumsOnions finely chopped
1Clove garlic; finely chopped
¼cupVegetable oil
2tablespoonsChili powder
2cupsCatsup
1cupVinegar
½cupLemon juice
¼cupWorstershire sauce
cupFinely packed brown sugar
2tablespoonsPrepared mustard
1tablespoonCrushed celery seed
2teaspoonsCrushed cumin seed
2tablespoonsButter or margarine

Directions

Saute onions and garlic in vegetable oil 'til golden and tender (about 10 minutes). Stir in the chili powder, cook one minute. Stir in remaining ingredients (except butter). Bring to boil. Lower heat, simmer uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring often. Stir in butter. Makes about 4½ cups.

Keeps covered in fridge for months.
