Apple-date cream cake

Yield: 12 Servings

Measure Ingredient
2 cups Flour
1 cup Sugar
1½ teaspoon Soda
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
½ teaspoon Allspice
2 \N Eggs; slightly beaten
1 can (21-oz) apple pie filling
½ cup Oil
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 cup Chopped dates
1 cup Chopped nuts
\N \N Cool whip

Combine first 6 ingredients; stir gently. Combine next 4 ingredients; mix well and stir into dry ingredients. Stir in dates and nuts. Pour into a greased and floured 13x9-2-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

Cool. Top with Cool Whip or whipped cream.
