Apple macadamia bake

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
¼ cup All-purpose flour
¼ cup Sugar
¼ cup Firmly packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons Coarsely chopped macadamias; walnuts, or pecans
⅛ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
2½ tablespoon Butter or margarine; cut into small pieces
7 cups Peeled & thinly sliced cooking apple
2 tablespoons Apricot preserves

Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl. Cut in margarine with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly. Place thinly sliced apple in a lightly greased 8-inch square baking dish; drop apricot preserves by teaspoonfuls onto apple slices, and sprinkle evenly with flour mixture. Bake at 375° for 35 minutes or until golden.

Makes 6 servings. Kitchen Express: Substitute 2 (12-ounce) packages frozen scalloped apples, thawed, for fresh apples.

Notes: Select tart, green-skinned Granny Smiths for cakes and pies.
