Apple filled cookies

Yield: 1 Batch

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Margarine
1½ cup Brown sugar
4 cups Flour
2 \N Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 teaspoon Soda
½ teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons Baking powder
1 cup Rolled oats

1 cup Sugar
¼ cup Flour
2 cups Chopped apples
1 cup Water
1 teaspoon Cinnamon

Cream margarine and sugar together. Add all other ingredients. Mix well and chill for several hours. Roll and cut into circles with a small biscuit cutter.

FILLING: Mix ingredients well. Cook over low heat until thick.

Put 1 teaspoon filling over circles. Cover with another circle. Press edges together with a fork. Bake at 375*F. for 12 minutes.
