Andy's red hot applesauce

\N | \N | 7-8 medium apples |

½ | cup | Red hots (cinnamon candy) |
3 | tablespoons | Sugar |
Peel and core the apples and chop into large chunks. Place in a saucepan and cover almost completely with water. Cover the pan.
Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until the apples are tender, stirring occasionally.
