After-dinner chocolate

2 | cups | Water |
4 | ounces | Bittersweet chocolate or semisweet; chopped |
3 | tablespoons | Grand Marnier |
¼ | cup | Whipping cream |
Orange peel; finely grated |
1. Combine water and chocolate in a small saucepan; cook and stir just till boiling. Remove from heat; stir in liqueur or vanilla. Beat cream in a small chilled mixing bowl with an electric mixer on low to medium speed till soft peaks form. Top each serving with whipped cream; sprinkle with orange peel, if desired.
2. The orange peel is optional. You can use Amaretto or vanilla extract in place of the Grand Marnier if desired NOTES : Bittersweet chocolate usually has a more pronounced chocolate flavor than semi-sweet.
