6 tablespoons | Salt |
1½ cup | Boiling water |
2 tablespoons | Sugar |
½ teaspoon | Accent |
6 \N | Cloves garlic; sliced |
¼ cup | Vinegar |
1½ cup | Ice water |
2 teaspoons | Dried red pepper flakes |
Cut the cucmbers in half lengthwise, then slice diagonally into ½"-thick slices and place in a large bowl. Mix salt with boiling water and pour over the cucumbers and let stand 1 hour, then drain. Mix the remaining ingredients and pour over the cucumbers and refrigerate.
